Having a few issues here, I'd like to have a ppt play with live audio from the web behind it before going into a video, and back to the ppt with live audio, but it doesn't seem to auto play, how can I do this?

can't fade live stream
I started using Screen Monkey last week, I have it installed on my desktop for playing and learning (no k-lite pack) and my laptop for actual presentation use, I am trying to play live streaming audio from the web, but I can't seem to fade or raise the volume for live streaming audio, I also noticed the fading slides don't always show on the layer's dashboard. Basicly trying to take the audio from one program SAM and put it into Screen Monkey and be able to fade it, when needed. I can do it on my desktop due to numbers sound output choices, but I have only two on my laptop. I can mute Sam if I broadcast locally, but can't control volume in screen monkey, I used the local audi option in Screen Monkey on my desktop and it worked, but I can't on my laptop as it comes from my laptop speakers, which I don't want.

Artnet - Multiple Servers
Hi,
I am trying to run a couple of Screen Monkey servers in a show, we are using both a projector and LCD screen within a play for certain elements of the set.
I have the Pro upgrade and am using Artnet to control them both. On Screen Monkey I have set the artnet with respective universe numbers (3 and 5 in these cases).
When I set a different clips live on the two servers they both switch between their respective clips at each location.
Is there a way of restricting each screen monkey instance to only respond to one universe of DMX on artnet? Or is this a bug?
I also have intermittent issues with MagicQ not being able to connect to MSEX to retrieve the thumbnails, but that is not an essential issue at the moment.
Any help is appreciated.

Playback issue for Video
Hi,
I'm new to Screen Monkey, and mainly a Mac user.
I am running Screen Monkey via a touch screen, all in one desktop. I am able to run 'images / picture' and project them fine. But when I add footage, the icon is there but there is a error with the clip 'A clip failed to initialise while trying to play. This could indicate a fault with the media or the clip type'. I have tried converting the file to various formats inc. AVI / MPEG / MP4 / WMV, I have tried different codecs on AVI (DivX & Xvid) - all have the same issue?
Is there any advice?

Windows 10 playback
So I upgraded to Win 10 from 7 on my work machine, now powerpoint presentations load much slower, and videos don't seem to run at all, nor do they load clip images. Is there something I can do aside from running compatibility to make this run again?

K-Lite pack not installed
Hello!
Thank you for this great software!
I installed the K-Lite_Codec_Pack_1155_Full, yet still when I launch SM, it gives me a popup when I want to add a video saying that the Codec pack is not installed and if I would like to install it.
On importing a video nothing happens to trigger a playback, however, these clips playback fine accoross other media players.
Kindly advise.

Live monitor not displaying video clips
Hi.
I’m new to Screenmonkey, and am running version 3.7 with a high spec PC (with 16 gig of RAM) and separate HD monitor.
I love what it can do, but unfortunately I can’t get the “live monitor” to show all the selected media clips on the PC screen.
It displays JPEGs OK, but if I select a video clip (eg : .mov and .mp4) the live monitor just shows a light blue background with the cursor moving across.
I’m using screen monkey in a very simple manner with no layers, etc – just video clips allocated to the on screen tiles.
Everything else appears to work OK, and the videos play correctly on the external HD monitor so all the Codecs seem to be installed OK.
Can anyone suggest what I could try to get the live monitor to display videos correctly, please?

Countdown/Countdown Clock
I'd like to have a downstage monitor with full screen Countdown/Countdown Clock. Ideally, it would consist of templates with 10:00, 20:00, 30:00, 45:00 minutes each, etc in green, down to zero, maybe sum-up time (in yellow, or on yellow background...) 1:00, 2:00, ....5:00 min each, and the time out in red?
I've experimented with Text clip settings, which have the Countdown/Countdown Clock objects. It works fine for a simple Countdown, but I can't figure out the proper "format", and then "count".
I would appreciate detailed step by step instructions.

Output what video has started (timing)
Is there a way to send out a control indication that identifies which video started when a video starts in SM?
Wondering if there is a way to run a light show timed to each video in my deck. I would be running light show externally to SM, but it would need to know exactly when a video starts and which video it is.
I doubt there is a way to do this, but thought I would ask.

Using key/RF clicker to progress through clips
Hi all,
I'm currently trying to set up a show file in Screen Monkey to play a series of clips in series with black colour clips in between. There will be no operator at the computer - my plan is to use an RF presentation tool or "clicker" commonly used for Powerpoint presentations to progress through the clips. I haven't got the clicker on me at the moment but I'm testing the project using the "link with spacebar" feature.
The problem I'm having is that the spacebar works the first time, but as soon as a clip becomes active, the dashboard window becomes inactive and no longer responds to keyboard input unless I click on it again with the mouse (which I will not be able to do during the show). Is there a way to configure the program so that the dashboard is always the selected window? Or alternatively is there a way to make the program respond to key input regardless of which window is highlighted?
I have tried searching through the forums for a solution prior to contacting you, by the way, but I couldn't find an answer which solved my problem. I did see an answer about "global hotkeys" but I haven't successfully been able to set this up. I have gone into Mouse and Keyboard in the settings menu and there are many commands such as "link go""go" and "play" which sound like they could be what I'm looking for but I haven't had any luck getting any of them to perform the function that the space bar does, let alone do it without the dashboard window selected.

Font Size List view
I am setting up Screen Monkey for a friend. He uses it as a music track player for live performances. ( I know SM will do a lot more but that is all that he needs.) He likes the Panel in the Main Window in "list" style. Is there any way to increase the font size for each clip's name in the list?

I'm trying to get a video to play on two layers/screens at the same time and can't seem to "Clone" the videos. Images seem to clone properly, but when I click a video file the second screen I'm cloning to stays black. Any thoughts?

Life after a Link Pair
Good Evening I hope somebody can suggest a solution to my problem.
I am using Screen Monkey in our village cinema to show a local newsreel before the film.
I have a long loop of individual music tracks playing in the background, with another un-synchronised shorter loop of local events texts and pictures showing on the screen.
The problem now is that one of the local events is the village choir, so I have a video with its own audio.
I want to be able to have the video interrupt the music track loop, just for the duration of the choir video.
I can split off the choir audio to the audio layer and then use Link Pair to play the audio when the choir video starts, but at the end the video just stops. the audio will carry on to the next in the sequence but how do I restart the video loop?
I really need an auxiliary link function ie Link to pair at the start and link to next at the end.
Is this possible?

hi there!
I'm running SM on a newly installed windows 10 (x64) machine (incl. all updates) with the latest k-lite codec pack (12.1.5 full).
I just can't get SM playing video files even though they work just fine in WMP and MPS.
I'm using the preset "secondary screen fullscreen" with a screen resolution of 1440x900.
Am I missing something? I read about 64 bit codec packs but they're included in the k-lite packs, right?
by the way, this is the second computer I'm having these issues on - I set up a new one because the first one failed
